When you have an emergency, you want to get effective treatment as fast as possible. North Valley Hospital’s Level IV Trauma Unit* is right nearby, close to home.

Whenever you have a medical emergency, always call 911.

Having multiple trauma capabilities with 24 hour care, providing initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic, surgery and critical care services, with the ability to transfer patients to a higher level of care if needed, assures you and your family will get the best treatment available.

A specially trained trauma nurse with experience is on hand, and physicians and physician assistants are available upon the patients arrival to the Emergency Department.

Patients are transported quickly and safely by ambulance services provided by Tonasket EMS, Oroville EMS, and Lifeline ambulance services. Medstar and Airlift Northwest provide air ambulance transport in severe trauma cases.

*Level IV Trauma Unit - Provides initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic capabilities, and transfer to a higher level of care. May provide surgery and critical care services as defined in the scope of services of trauma care. A trauma trained nurse is immediately available, and physicians are available upon the patients arrival to the Emergency Department.
