Emergency Services

Our Emergency Department is staffed by highly trained physicians who have and continue to practice at prestigious medical facilities like Sacred Heart Hospital, Deaconess Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s Hospital to name a few. Our ER doctors are contracted to us through a company called Coast to Coast Healthcare, which allows us the unique opportunity to bring Urban Healthcare to our Rural Community.

Our ER is classified as a Level IV Trauma Unit, which means we provide initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic capabilities, and transfer to a higher level of care. We provide surgery and critical care services as defined in the scope of services of trauma care. A trauma trained Registered Nurse is immediately available, and physicians are available upon the patients arrival to the Emergency Department.

Patients are transported quickly and safely by ambulance services provided by Tonasket EMS, Oroville EMS, and Lifeline ambulance services. In the case that a patient needs to be transferred to a higher level of care Medstar and Airlift Northwest provide air ambulance transport from Tonasket in severe trauma cases.
