Hospital Transparency

The Washington State Hospital Association and its member hospitals want to give consumers information to help them make decisions about health care.  This information allows consumers to make informed decisions about where they choose to seek care.  It also helps policy makers and the public measure the cost and quality of hospital care.  This section of the WSHA website provides information on hospital pricing and quality, and answers a number of commonly asked questions about hospital bills.  It includes:

Hospital Pricing: Information on charges at Washington hospitals

Hospital Quality Measures: Washington hospitals' performance on selected quality measures such as heart attack and heart failure

Understanding Your Hospital Bill: Answers to common questions about hospital bills
