Public Records Request
Okanogan County Public Hospital District No. 4 will make available public records of the District in compliance with the Washington Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) and any other applicable provisions of federal or state law. The District will acknowledge the request within five business days and either make responsive records available for inspection, provide copies, or give a reasonable estimate of when the requested information may be available. Public record requests are prioritized and responded to within the limitations of available staff time to prevent excessive interference with essential agency functions.
All requests for public records should include the name, contact information of the requester, and information necessary to readily identify the public records requested. The request must be specific to the requested information.
In order for us to most efficiently fulfill requests, we would need contact information to best facilitate us to respond to you in a timely manner. If you have questions about access to public records please contact the North Valley Hospital Public Records Officer: Teresa Webber at 509-486-3118 or email: publicrequests@nvhospital.org

Records Exemptions and appeals
A request may be fully denied or in part. RCW 42.56 lists reasons for exemption of information to the public. Additional exemption information can be found at the Municipal Research And Services Center (MRSC) website, scroll to Appendix C, and on the Sunshine Committee webpage>Public Disclosure Exemptions.
A requestor who objects to the initial denial or partial denial of a request may petition in writing to the Public Records Officer(PRO) for a review of the decision. Upon receipt of the petition, the PRO will promptly provide the petition and other relevant information to the PRO’s supervisor or other District official designated by the District to conduct the review. That person will immediately consider the petition and either affirm or reverse the denial within two business days following the District’s receipt of the petition, or within such other time as the District and the requestor mutually agree to.
