CNO Recruitment:

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the survey and volunteered to help with the selection process. We utilized the survey feedback to help craft the interview questions and scoring rubric. We kicked off our first round of interviews last week with a mix of internal and external candidates.

Based on the hiring committee’s scoring, we are scheduling another round of interviews for the top two candidates.

Employee Satisfaction Survey:

The 2024 Employee Satisfaction Survey was recently tabulated and shared with the Board and Department Heads. See the results here.

This was the first year we conducted the survey fully electronically without paper copies available. The responses were slightly fewer than last year's 104, compared to 117. The overall score improved slightly compared to 2023.

The biggest improvement from last year was the likelihood to recommend working at NVH, and the biggest decline was feeling thanked and appreciated.

HR is working with the Department Heads to ensure we continue to make strides as an employer. We also solicited employees interested in supporting employee engagement activities as part of the survey. I hope that work will be impactful. Thank you to everyone who took the survey and provided your honest feedback.

Oroville Farmers Market:

If you are up in Oroville on Saturday, come stop by the Farmers Market from 9-1 to say hi to the NVH Booth. We will be there as part of the Health Fair and its always fun to see you out of work and meet your family.

Road Construction:

Everyone seems to be getting used to the road closures and detours. During the first few days, we had a few businesses reach out to make sure we are parking in the right spots. For day shift the designated areas are in yellow, which preserves closer spots for patients, visitors, or anyone with mobility challenges. For evening and night shift parking closer to the entrances is fine.
