NVH Newsletter July 2026
NVH Earns State Healthcare Honors:
We are thrilled to share some incredible news about the quality of care you receive right here at home. North Valley Hospital was recently recognized by the Washington State Hospital Association with the Achievement of Quality Healthcare Gold Award for the second year in a row.
High-quality healthcare should not require a long drive to a big city, and our team is proud to prove that the very best care is right here in Tonasket.
Local Fires:
Our hearts and thoughts go out to our close neighbors and fellow healthcare workers down the road. It has been an incredibly challenging start to the wildfire season in our region, with communities near both Mid Valley Hospital in Omak and Lake Chelan Health Hospital facing severe threats.
During events like these, local hospitals are more than just medical facilities; they are safe havens and command centers. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders, fire crews, and the incredibly resilient hospital staff at both facilities who worked tirelessly to keep patients safe, coordinate emergency preparations, and protect our communities under extreme stress. Please do your part to help us navigate the rest of fire season.
See your Health in 3D:
We are bringing something new to your exam room. The Tonasket Family Medical Clinic has recently installed PatientPoint interactive digital monitors. These are not just screens for announcements; they are powerful tools to help you better understand your health. During your visit, your doctor can pull up interactive 3D anatomical models, show you clear educational videos, and provide easy-to-digest information about your specific condition or treatment plan. We believe that when you can actually see what is happening inside your body, you feel more confident and in control of your care. We look forward to showing you how this works during your next appointment.
Walk-In Appointments:
We know that when you or your child wakes up feeling sick, waiting days or weeks for a doctor's appointment simply is not an option. That is why the Tonasket Family Medical Clinic is proud to remind our community that we actively welcome same-day, walk-in appointments.
Whether it is a sudden fever, a minor injury, or a pesky cough that will not go away, our clinic team is ready to see you when you need us most. Our goal is to make healthcare as accessible and stress-free as possible, keeping you healthy and helping you avoid unnecessary, costly trips to the emergency room. Next time you need prompt care, just head on over to the clinic or give us a call at 509-486-3191.
