Growing Healthcare Close to Home

CEO Newsletter

Edition 10

Construction Update:

On Monday the Swinerton team will start demo on the first floor of the St. Martin’s building on the west hallway. This work will displace the billers, schedulers, and ultrasound and restrict access to MRI, the rehab gym, and Extended Care. Additionally, all of the support teams will have to reroute to get access from the kitchen to the hospital or from the AC to Extended Care.

Most of the first floor office workers will be relocated to the second floor, but we will have a few days before the phones and internet are functional up there. In the meantime we have a few people working from home or out of different offices.

This phase is scheduled for 4-6 weeks, and then they will reopen the hallway and transition into the radiology area.

Well-Being Survey:

Thriving Together North Central Washington is a CMS and state-funded organization focusing on improving health within Okanogan, Chelan, Grant, and Douglas counties. We have partnered with Thriving Together on several initiatives, including the drug disposal kiosk, the behavioral health program, and vocational training programs.

A few weeks ago, Thriving Together launched a Well-Being Survey (available here) which runs through the end of July. We are working with Thriving Together to promote participation in the survey, and we will also strive to support the subsequent efforts to improve the health of our communities. I’d encourage everyone to take 5 minutes to complete the survey.

Employee Survey:

Speaking of surveys, it is time for our annual Employee Satisfaction Survey. Jeanette and the HR team are putting it together and it will launch soon. I always appreciate everyone’s feedback and efforts to ensure NVH is a great place to work.

Community Newsletter:

We are launching our e-newsletter for the community in the next week. The newsletter will be emailed to subscribers and shared on Facebook. As an employee, much of the information would be duplicative, but if you want to follow along, you can subscribe on the main page of our website: nvhospital.org.

Summer:

I know it isn’t officially summer, but it sure feels like it! Happy last day of school, and I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the sunshine, and thank you to the Safety Committee for the information on summer safety.
